Introduction: COVID-19 is a newly emerging disease in the world, the clinical symptoms of which are fever, fatigue and frequent cough. Therefore, physical activity by reducing risk factors, as well as saffron with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, are used as anti-inflammatory strategies and a traditional herbal medicine to treat cough and improve breathing rate. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of saffron supplementation and endurance exercise on the concentration of lactate dehydrogenase, vitamin D, and clinical symptoms in outpatients with coronavirus. Methods: The present study was conducted in the form of an experimental study with written informed consent. The statistical population of this study was all outpatients with COVID-19 who referred to the Kashgar City Health Center from February 1400 to April 1401, of which 36 people were randomly selected. The research hypotheses were examined using SPSS software at a significance level of P < 0.05 using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) test with repeated measures with a between-group factor. Results:The results showed that endurance activity and saffron supplementation caused a significant decrease in lactate dehydrogenase levels (P≥0.05). The results showed that there was no interaction effect between the measurement stages and the group in respiratory rate, but differences were observed during the measurement stages (p=0.000). Also, there were no intra-group, inter-group differences, and interaction effects in the variables of cough and vitamin D. (P≤0.05). Conclusion:Therefore, based on this study, it is possible to use saffron as an adjunct therapy and regular exercise that helps control pathogens, including Covid-19, by increasing the body's immunity.
