Ovarian vitrification poses challenges including ischemia, oxidative stress, and diminished follicular survival. Emerging technologies such as biocompatible nanoparticles, smart polymers, and ice-binding proteins (particularly during the warming phase) have demonstrated promising results in enhancing tissue viability and function. Biological scaffolds and encapsulation strategies have further improved structural support. In the clinical setting, live births have been reported using novel transplantation techniques, and protocol standardization is currently underway. These innovative approaches offer a promising outlook for the development of safe and effective clinical protocols.
