The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Hajat prayer on the mental health of patients with multiple sclerosis. Materials and Methods: In these clinical trial 60 patients with multiple sclerosis participated. Patients referred to the rheumatology clinic of Kashan Shahid Beheshti Hospital, were selected by convenience sampling method in 2018. Samples were randomly divided into two groups of 30 experimental and control groups. Patients in the experimental group prayed two rak'ats of Hajat prayer for two months after reading the daily prayers and then prayed to God for few minutes. The control group did not receive any intervention. Before, immediately and one month after the study, the Goldberg mental health questionnaires were completed by the patients and the two groups were compared. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 16 using descriptive and analytical tests. Results: The results showed that there was no significant difference in demographic data and mean score of mental health before intervention between the two groups (P>0.05). But immediately after and one month after the intervention, there was a statistically significant difference in the mean score of mental health in the two groups. (P<0.05). The results of the repeated measures ANOVA showed that the mean changes of mental health and it demension varied over time and the interaction between group and time was significant for the variable of mental health (P<0.05). Conclusion: Hajat prayer increases the mental health of patients with multiple sclerosis. It is recommended to be used as a complementary treatment to increase the mental health of these patients. Materials and Methods: This semi-experimental study was performed on 80 family members of patients undergoing neurosurgery in Kashan Shahid Beheshti Hospital in 2018. Samples were randomly assigned to control and experimental groups. After daily prayers in experimental group prayed two rak'ats Hajat prayers from 48 hours before surgery to 24 hours after surgery and prayed for their patients five minutes after praying. In the control, prayers were performed according to routine. At the beginning of the study and one day after surgery, the Spielberger questionnaire was completed by the patients' family members in two groups. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 20 using Chi-square, Covariance. Results: There was no significant difference in demographic variables between the two groups before intervention (P≥0.05). The results of covariance analysis showed that there was a significant difference between two groups after intervention in open and hidden anxiety and total anxiety score (P≤0.05). Conclusion: Prayer can decrease the open and hidden anxiety of the family members of patients undergoing neurosurgery. Therefore, its use as a complementary method for reduce anxiety is suggested. Prayer as a religious coping strategy can be a great help to subjective well-being in these patients. This study aimed to investigate relationship between attitude and practical commitment to prayer with subjective well-bring in chronic renal failure patients admitted in selected hospitals in kashan city, 2019. Materials and Methods: This study was a descriptive analytical research. 180 patients were selected through census method. The research tools included: background information questionnaire, attitude and practicing prayer questionnaire, and Edinburgh subjective well-being questionnaire. Data were analyzed by SPSS version 16 using t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis. Results: The findings of this study showed that 59% of subjects were male, 80.6% were married, mean score of attitude and practical commitment to prayer (on a scale of 200-0) and subjective well-being (on a scale of 147-14) in the patients under study was 144.92±28.73 and 52.57±4.64, respectively. The variables of attitude and practical commitment to prayer and non-other underlying illness, in addition to renal failure, explained 74% and 20% of the variance of subjective well-being score, respectively. There was a statistically significant relationship between employment status and place of residence with subjective well-being, so that the scores of subjective well-being were higher in unemployed and rural patients. Conclusion: Subjective well-being of patients in this study was high, the score of attitude and practical commitment to prayer and non-other underlying illness can be the important variables related to subjective well-being. Materials and Methods: In this cross-analytical study, 285 female students were selected as sample using multi-stage cluster sampling method. The measurements were Nademi's questionnaire of attitude to prayer, Huebner's life satisfaction questionnaire, and Steger's questionnaire of meaning in life. Using pearson correlation coefficient and the regression test, the data were analyzed by the SPSS software. Results: The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between attitude dimensions to prayer (value, behavioral outcome, and motivation) with life satisfaction. There is also a positive and significant relationship between two attitude dimensions to prayer (value, and behavioral outcome) with meaning in life but there is no relationship between the dimensions of motivation with meaning in life. The results of the regression analysis showed that among the attitude dimensions to prayer, 16% of the variance of life satisfaction is explained by the dimension of value and 5% of the variance of the meaning in life is explained by dimension of behavioral outcome. Conclusion: According to the study findings that confirm the relationship between attitude dimensions to prayer with life satisfaction and meaning in life, reviving the prayer and practicing can promote the life satisfaction and meaning in life. Fidelity to prayer and its condition results in soul evolution and the optimization of personal and social life style of man. The spiritual health as a state of spirit that has some ranking is achieved from the relation to God and confers a healthy and purposeful life. Therefore, with the aim of evaluating the correlation between the fidelity in prayer and the ranking of spiritual health, a field study was carried out in Kashan during 2018. Materials and Methods: The participants of the study were the university students, clergy and the people of Kashan. The sample size was 100 in each group with a convenient non-randomized sampling method. The data collection tools were the fidelity in prayer (Kronbach's Alpha coefficient: R=0.799) and Paloutzian & Ellison's spiritual health questionnaires (Kronbach's Alpha coefficient: R=0.82). The data were analyzed using SPSS software at a significance level of 5% and the Pearson's correlation coefficient. The correlation analysis was used. Results: A direct correlation was seen between fidelity in prayer and the promotion of ranking for spiritual health (RT=0.560, P=0.001). Moreover, with a change in gender, marital status and the age range, the effect of fidelity in prayer on spiritual health was continued. Conclusion: The more was the fidelity of people in prayer, the higher was their spiritual health. In addition, the less was the age of the people, the less was their fidelity in prayer. The mean and standard deviation of the students' age was 22.53±1.73. This study aimed was to determine the relationship between practical attitude and commitment to prayer and moral courage in nurses working in Kashan University of Medical Sciences. Materials and Methods: This study is cross-sectional and the population were all nurses working in Kashan University of Medical Sciences. Criteria for entering the study were employment in Kashan University of Medical Sciences and willingness and informed consent to participate in the study and the exit criteria were unwilling to cooperate in the study. Multi-stage random sampling was used. In this method, Medical centers were considered as a cluster and wards were classified as class. Data collection was done through a questionnaire with three parts: background information and a tool for measuring attitude and practical commitment to prayers Anessa's and a tool for measuring moral courage of nurses Sadoughi Asl. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 16 and descriptive and analytical statistics. Results: 42.5% of the nurses participating in this study (170 persons) were men. The mean and standard deviation of the age of the nurses were (34.53±11.71). The mean and standard deviation of attitude and practical commitment to nurses' prayers (123.46±19.95) and moral courage of nurses (241.95±31.11), The relationship between these variables was statistically significant (P<0.05). Materials and Methods: This paper studies and discusses the factors affecting students' orientation to prayer. This study Social Survey, based on a questionnaire, the Cronbach alpha reliability based on data and information on the population, have been collected. The study consisted of all students of Kashan university. Cochran sampling formula was studied using 504 cases as the sample size which determined using a random sampling method. Results: Multivariate regression analysis showed that the tendency to prayer directly affected by religious variables (Beta=0.31), Meet faith and prayer (Beta=0.29), the quantity and quality meetings in the mosque (Beta=0.16) and the appropriateness of the mosque (Beta=0.13) was in total. These variables could explain 34 percent of variance tends to congregational prayer (R2=0.34). The path analysis, the most direct impact on the variable prayers of friends tend to have prayers, and then variables familiarity with prayer and religious belief in general have the greatest impact on the dependent variable. Conclusion: In this study, four variables of religiosity, familiarity with prayer, quantity and quality of meetings in mosque and suitable space of mosque to education have the highest impact on students' participation in congregation prayer. Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 205 students of Kashan University of Medical Sciences. The data gathering tool was a researcher-made, reliable and validity questionnaire in the field of effective factors in attracting students to congregational prayers, which was set according to 5 Likert scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the t-test. Results: The effective factors in attracting students to congregational prayers (by mean and standard deviation) were respectively: the participation of authorities and professors (3.23±0.89), cultural and internal organizational factors (3.2±0.84), physical and beauty atmosphere of the prayer room (1.07±3.03), factors related to the role of peers and friends (2.98 ±1.19), the individual factors (2.92±0.77), the parents related factors (2.71±1.03), and the factors related to Imam congregation prayer (2.69±1.007). There was a significant relationship between sex (P=0.001), field of study (P=0.006) and place of life of students (P=0.03) with their attraction rate. Conclusion: According to the findings, university, authorities and family are effective factors in attracting students to congregational prayer. The purpose of this study was to determine the facilitators and inhibitors of student participation in prayer in college students of Kashan University. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive cross-sectional study, using convenience sampling method, 451 students of Kashan universities (Azad, Ministry of Science, and Medical Sciences) participated in the study. The research instrument was a demographic questionnaire, facilitating and preventing students from attending community prayer. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 16 using descriptive statistics (frequency distribution) and inferential statistics (Chi-square and one-sample t-test). Results: The results of this study showed that students of medical sciences (48.6%) and Azad Islamic University (45.1%) participated in community prayers more than those of the Ministry of Science (33.3%). Participation in community prayer among native students (73.8%) was significantly higher than non-native (34%) students (P<0.001). Among the effective factors in encouraging participation in Congregational Prayer, the factor "belief in reciprocity in attending prayer in congregation" has the highest mean (2.76). Among the factors preventing participation in the congregational prayer, the highest mean (2.41) was attributed to the "length of the prayer of the congregation". Conclusion: Given the fact that students are future managers and managers of the country, interventions are necessary in order to understand the religious foundations and the benefits of community prayer in the field of youth and students as awareness-raising programs. This study aimed to determine the barriers for prayer performance in patients admitted to educational hospitals in Kashan. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 300 patients hospitalized in different wards of hospitals in Kashan. The tool used in this study has two parts: demographic and clinical data and Prayer barriers scale. The statistical analysis was conducted by using T-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficients through SPSS 16. Results: The finding showed the mean age of the participants was 50.53±18.95 years, 52% were male, 35.7% had secondary education, 77.7% had urban life and 60.7% were hospitalized due to internal medicine. The overall mean scores of prayer barriers scale was 30.31±12.12. There was a significant relationship between prayer barriers and younger age, hospitalization in surgery department, not being able to do personal affairs and to walk alone. Regarding the correlation between the scores of subscales and the total score of the prayer barriers scale, the findings showed that the highest correlation obtained for factors related to patient's illness (r=0.852) and the lowest correlation obtained for the hospital facilities (r=0.214). Conclusion: Findings showed that the score of prayer barriers was moderate and some factors including the patient's condition and hospital facilities are barriers for prayer. This study aimed to assess the Correlation between the quality of couples’ relationships with attitude and Practical commitment to prayer in women referring to Comprehensive Health Centers of Kashan in 2018. Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytic study was performed on 350 women referring to Kashan Comprehensive Health Centers in 2018. Based on random sampling, a Comprehensive Health Center was selected from each geographic region and a number of available samples were selected based on the subjects covered by each center. The questionnaires included demographic characteristics questionnaire, standard questionnaire of couples' relationships, and attitude and practical commitment to prayer scale. Data were analyzed using SPSS software (V 16) using pearson correlation coefficient, multivariate regression and t-test. The level of significance was defined as less than 0.05. Results: The results showed that there was a positive relationship between the quality couple's relationships and the attitude and practical attachment to the prayer and the level of spouse's literacy (P<0.001). There was a negative correlation between the quality of couples' relationships and age (P=0.003), duration of marriage (P=0.007) and number of children (P=0.003), also. By implementing multivariate regression, attitude and practical commitment to prayer (P<0.001) and the level of spouse's literacy were related to couples' quality of relationship (P=0.014). Conclusion: Positive attitude and practical commitment to prayer and increasing the literacy of spouse increases the quality of couples' relationships. Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 334 students of Farabi campus in Qom. The data gathering tool was a researcher-made, reliable and valid questionnaire in terms of effective factors in adhering students to prayer. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, analysis of variance and the t-test. Results: According to the results of this study, 194 (58.1%) of the students prayed as always and most of the time. The factors influencing students 'adherence to prayer from the students' point of view, based on mean and standard deviation, were as follows: awareness of the rulings and the prayer philosophy 3.87± 0.92, the effect of prayer in the individual and social life 3.66±0.82, serious adherence to prayers 3.42±0.9, and attention to requiring and preparing for prayers 2.92±0.82. Conclusion: Youth and students adherence to the prayers of the islamic country world is a serious issue and concern for authorities. Conclusion: The results of this research indicate that the number of articles in the field of Namaz is low and there are no researchers and journals focused on this topic. Little research has been done on Namaz and the various aspects of social, moral, political, and economic health. Accordingly, the study on spiritual health in Quran was carried out. Materials and Methods: The verses related to the soul, heart, man, God, resurrection and so on were searched in Jame-Al-Tafasir software and texts and the verses related to spiritual health were selected and studied. Results: A bunch of verses was about observes the introduction of human truth and its evolutionary strategies (anthropology), a bunch of verses was about  knowledge of God and his attributes (theology), and the other category are the end of man and his eternal life (resurrection). Conclusion: Addressing spiritual health in the Quran will lead to the recognition of the truth of man and his attainment of the true perfection and comfort of the world and the hereafter. Although the relationship between prayer and health is very well expressed, so far, the barriers and problems of pray have not been taken into consideration by the hospitalized patients themselves. This research aimed to explaining pray experiences in hospitalized patients. Materials and Methods: The present study is a qualitative phenomenological study. A total of 15 patients (7 women and 8 men) admitted to Shahid Beheshti Hospital of Kashan were selected by objective sampling method. Sampling continued until data saturation. These patients were admitted to the medical, emergency, C.C.U. and surgery departments. The data collection method was semi-structured interviews. Interviewed interviews were word by word. Data were analyzed simultaneously with sampling. Results: After analyzing the data, 2 themes (barriers to pray in hospitalized patients, facilitating factors for pray in hospitalized patients) and 6 categories were included which included "lack of prayer requirements", "lack of purity for pray", "unwillingness to prayer by using alternatives to ablution", "the lack of familiarity with the religious issues related to prayer in hospitalized patients", "the possibility of a better and purer relationship with God", "the spiritual effects of prayer on hospitalized patients". Conclusion: Due to the lack of pray conditions in the medical centers and the importance of prayer for hospitalized patients, the necessary conditions should be provided by the hospital managers and practitioners. The purpose of this study was to investigate the health status of mosques and prayer rooms under the ownership of Kashan University of Medical Sciences in 2019. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study. The standard checklist of the mosque health regulations of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education was used, which included 48 questions (1 to 3 scores), in three areas of personal health, equipment hygiene and construction, and a total of 100 score. The information was collected through direct visits by the trained person in this area. Data was analyzed using excel software. Results: Data from 17 religious places (one mosque, prayer room of dormitories, administrative departments and hospitals) showed that in terms of construction status, 60.5%, in terms of equipment health, 39.6% and in terms of Individual health, 26.8% of the studied sites had favorable conditions. The mosque's status was better than other sites. Prayer rooms of Aran-Bidgol Healthcare, Al-Zahra Dormitory and the Kargarnejad Hospital had the best situation respectively and the Deputy Chancellor of Treatment, Al-Ghadir Dormitory and Matini Hospital's prayer rooms had lowest scores respectively. Conclusion: The status of the prayer rooms in hospitals were worse than the administrative and dormitories. Saying prayer is suggested by religious people in Islam Religion and nationality are some factors which people can identify and recognize them by. It can create a sense of common group. According to this approach, however, religion is a private affair; it can connect human being by having a mutual experience. In order to evaluate this impact, this study aimed to investigate of the relationship between saying prayers and social and national identities. Materials and Methods: This study was done in years 1397-1398, and 294 male and female students in all grads and all majors in Kashan University were selected by Cochran formula and cluster sampling. Results: Findings from 2 variables linear regression indicates the significant impact of saying prayers on social identity and it can identify 18 percent of changes in dependent variable. Saying prayers has a significant effect on national identity and it can also identify 15 percent of it, also. Conclusion: It has been concluded that, by increasing the practice of saying prayers, national and social identities will increase. Finally, pushing teenagers and youth to say prayers, can enforce social integrity and social and national identities. So the country will be safe against disunion, additionally encouragement to saying prayers is a serious barrier against invasion and influence of strangers.
