Due to various success rates of different therapies and ease of imipramine and desmopressin treatment, this study was conducted in order to compare the therapeutic effect of these 2 agents among patients referred to a private clinic in Kashan in 1996. Materials and Methods: An experimental study was designed to study 46 infants of age 5-13 suffering from primary nocturia. Patients were randomly divided into two groups of 23 one group received imipramine tables (1 mg/kg) every night for 4 weeks and the second group received nasal drops of desmopressin in 20?g and if the therapy was unsuccessful, 40?g of desmopressin for 2 weeks was followed. The effect of two therapies on primary nocturia was followed for 2 weeks and compare by chi-square method. Results: Patients were selected to have little personal variation.
