Background: Accidents and events are one of the main health, therapeutic and social obstacles of modern societies and trauma is the leading cause of death , hospitalization and disability in all age groups (1-40 years). The reported frequency of genitourinary system traumas is 3-10%. Any delay in caring for these patients may result in unpleasant consequences. The goal of present study is to determine the early outcomes of genitourinary system traumas in 2 hospitals of Kermanshah during past 15 years.

Materials & Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive study the medical records of all 143 traumatic patients referring to Kermanshah Chaharomin Shahid & Imam Raza Hospitals were studied.

Results: Findings showed that 93.7% of cases were males with a mean ُ age of 28.51 ± 13.6. About 80.5% of studied cases had blunt traumas. Injury sites in 26.2% of cases were penis 24.8% urethra 21.3% testis and in 17.7% kidneys. The reason for injury in 21.8% of cases was trauma in 21.1% fallings from high altitudes and in 11.3% vehicle accidents. Diagnostic methods in most cases (53.8%) were clinical examination. The treatment approach in 73.2% of cases was open-surgery. One of the studied cases was expired. The trauma outcomes in 2 cases were nephrectomy in one case bladder resection and in remaining 52 cases surgical repairing.

Conclusion: Most of early outcomes of genitourinary system trauma in this study were repairing of the injuries which were done by surgical operation. Hence effectively organizing of trauma centers facilities and self-care education to patients for their follow up will result in providing appropriate care and decreasing the late-onset complications.
