Abstract:   (34 Views)
Digital environment has become an integral part of the lives of children and adolescents. From a psychological perspective, it presents both opportunities and threats, and excessive use is associated with mental health problems and academic difficulties. From a neuroscience perspective, sustained digital environment use can influence adolescent brain development, increasing sensitivity to rewards and social pressures. Consequently, developing comprehensive policies to protect this group from digital harms is a national priority. This policy brief aims to provide an overview of the effects of the digital space on children and adolescents and to provide solutions to reduce its harms. This study proposed a set of policy strategies in the areas of legislation, digital literacy education, safe digital space, mental health promotion, and the formation of an advisory committee also, offers actionable solutions across four areas: legal, educational, supportive, and technological.
