Abstract
Background: One of the pathways of cardiac hypertrophy due to exercise training is the increase of stem cells and factors that call these cells in the heart. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the Effect of 8 Weeks Continuous Training on C-Kit ،SDF-1α Protein, and its Receptor (CXCR4) in the Heart tissue of Male Rats.
Materials and methods: In this research, 12 Wistar Rat (weighing 271.39±12.6 grams) aged 8 weeks were divided into two groups, control and training. The training group did 8 weeks of continuous running training on the treadmill, so that the rats had 5 sessions of activity every week. At first, the rats started their training at a speed of 10 meters per minute for 10 minutes, and in the eighth week, the speed of the activity increased to 20 meters per minute and its duration reached 50 minutes. The rats of the control group did not exercise in this study. In order to estimate the impact of sports training, both groups performed a sports activity to estimate endurance capacity before and after the training period. 48 hours after the last training session, the rats were anesthetized and after surgery, their heart tissue was removed and quickly frozen. The expression levels of SDF-1α, CXCR4 and C-kit were measured by ELISA Method.
Results: Independent t-test showed that the endurance capacity (p=0.000) increased significantly due to 8 weeks of continuous training. Also, the levels of (p=0.000) SDF-1α, (p=0.000) CXCR4 and (p=0.000) C-kit increased significantly in the training group after 8 weeks.
Conclusion: Therefore, it seems that 8 weeks of continuous training can cause the formation of new myocytes and the repair of damaged myocytes, and thus cause hypertrophy through calling stem cells.

Keywords: Stem cells, cardiac hypertrophy, SDF-1α, CXCR4, C-kit.
